Where Is The Tipping Point Studio?

Many people assume that shows like Tipping Point are filmed in London, as we frequently see shows like GMB, This Morning and Loose Women coming live from Television Centre, once the famous home of BBC TV.

Tipping point isn’t broadcast live though, so there would be limited benefit to the added expense of filming in London.

In fact, the show is filmed in mammoth sessions, sometimes up to 175 episodes condensed into a month or two. The studio is situated at the Bottle Yard Studios in Bristol – approximately 120 miles drive west of television centre in London!

Where Is Bottle Yard Studios?

The filming location is on the outskirts of Bristol, to the south side of Bristol, close to the A37 Wells Road, or A38 leading to the Airport.

There are actually two sites used by the studios, with the main site located on Whitchurch Lane, and the secondary studios (known as TBY2) on Hawkfield Way, a few hundred metres west of the main site.

What Else Is Filmed On The Same Site As Tipping Point?

A range of TV channels carry shows made at Bottle Yard Studios and TBY2, including McDonald & Dodds, Broadchurch and Sanditon for ITV, and HOW for CITV.

Well known shows on other channels produced in the same location include the Crystal Maze for Channel 4 and Nickelodeon, Poldark for BBC One and Trollied for Sky One.
