Do The Runners Up Win Money On Tipping Point?

In most series of Tipping Point, each episode features four contestants, each aiming to be the last one standing and having their chance to win the £10,000 jackpot or even the £20,000 double jackpot by getting the Jackpot Counter and Double Counter out of the machine at the same time.

Only one contestant can win each episode, with the player with the lowest banked cash amount being eliminated after each round.

The runners up do not win anything on Tipping Point, with Ben Shephard’s catchphrase declaring that “we’ve found your Tipping Point” and their display reduces to zero and fades out, signifying the loss of their winnings as they’re eliminated from the game.

The exception to the rule comes on the celebrity variation of the show, where famous players appear to raise money for their nominated charities. In these episodes, all players get to keep their winnings, which are donated to their good cause.

On the normal show however, only the the one player that wins the show gets to win their cash prize, which is either the total earned from all the £50 counters dropping into the win zone on their turn, or the £10,000 jackpot if the Jackpot counter is successfully pushed over the Tipping Point in the final round.

Notably, on two occasions to date, players can win a double jackpot by getting the Double Counter and Jackpot Counter over the Tipping Point with a single counter going into the machine.
