What Time Is GMB On?

Good Morning Britain, or GMB for short, is the ITV breakfast show. It carries news, weather, competitions, interviews and more. It’s shown on ITV1, usually on weekday mornings only.

Good Morning Britain is shown on ITV1 from 6am to 9am from Monday to Friday throughout the year.

GMB usually begins with a round up of the big news stories of the day, weather forecast and a summary of what’s coming up on the show for the remainder of the early morning show before Lorraine takes over at 9am.

What Time Does GMB Start?

Good Morning Britain comes on air at 6am from Monday to Friday each week.

What Time Does GMB End?

Good Morning Britain finishes at 9am on weekdays, handing over to Lorraine Kelly or a guest presenter for the Lorraine show until 10am.

Is Good Morning Britain On At Weekends?

As a rule of thumb, GMB usually airs only from Monday to Friday.

On big, newsworthy occasions, Good Morning Britain has been on at weekends, for example a special edition for the coronation of King Charles on Saturday, May 6th 2023.

Normally however, on a Saturday and Sunday morning, ITV1 broadcasts children’s programming between 6am and 8.25am.

What Time Are GMB Competitions On ITV?

Good Morning Britain almost always features competition segments during the show, with the notable exception of the period of mourning in September 2022.

The GMB competition is usually fronted by Andi Peters, and shows from a couple of minutes before 7am for the first instalment, repeating several times until the final trailer at around 8.50am.
